Cell Tower Research and Studies

This page is intended to be for informational purposes to learn about the pros and cons of having a cell tower near the neighborhood.  As a generic warning when reviewing any research or studies, it is important to note the following information:

  • Who performed the work, and what are their qualifications?
  • Who paid for the work, and what is their interest or bias?
  • Where was the study performed, and how similar/disimilar is that from here?
  • If the study was in another country, how do the standards differ from this country?

The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) sets the standards and handles the licensing

The Occupational Safety and Health Adminstration (OSHA) sets worker standards around RF equipment

The following statements, research and studies have been provided for posting for all to review.  These are listed in (hopefully) alphabetical order.

Note: If the research or study you submitted does not appear in the list above, it can be for one of a number of reason, including the following:  It couldn’t be openly found on the internet; It was an editorial or comment peice; It was a new article with little substance or relevance to this issue.
